What is the Open Division?

• This division is an addition to what we have been doing in CVC. The Open Division offers athletes the opportunity to travel to larger tournaments that are highly competitive, as well as the opportunity for greater exposure to be seen by a variety of college recruiters. Open teams will travel to mostly 2-day tournaments and some 1-day tournaments.
• It is important to note that the following tournaments are just EXAMPLES of the types of tournaments for both winter and spring! Multi-day tournaments could include: Pentagon AAU Grand Prix (Sioux Falls, SD), Big Sky Volleyfest (Billings, MT), Northern Lights Qualifier (Minneapolis, MN), Siouxland Showdown (Sioux City, IA), Big City Luau (Minneapolis, MN) or other similar tournaments.  1-day tournaments could include: Pentagon Tournaments (Sioux Falls, SD), M1 Tournaments (Minneapolis, MN), MN Select Tournaments (Minneapolis, MN) or other similar tournaments.  
• CVC strives to roster one Open team per age division for each winter and spring, as registration numbers and skill-levels allow.
• If an Open team wins a National Qualifier they will be registered for the National Tournament (USAV or AAU).
