2022-2023 Season

What to Expect

  • This will be our 9th season of CVC! We are excited about the growth of not only the club, but the level of play in the Bismarck area over the last 8 seasons! We are also excited to bring new options to you this season!

What's new?!

  • Divisions:
    • This season we are excited to bring some new and updated options to our athletes and families! This will allow us to provide options for all!
    • CVC will now have multiple levels to register for. We will have an Open, Regional, Local and Club level. Once registration opens, athletes will be able to register for the highest level they are wanting to play. If they don’t make a team at that division, they will roll over to the next division and so on. There will be a $100 non-refundable deposit for each season, due at the time of registration. As in previous seasons, this will be put towards the athlete's fee once they are placed on a team.
    • We will now open our 12 club division for 4th graders!
    • Why offer different divisions? These different divisions allow us to offer options for:
      • those looking for highly competitive tournaments while traveling a bit more as well as the opportunity for more/different exposure;
      • those looking for more regional competition, more 1-day tournaments while also the option for a couple larger tournaments and similar travel to what we have continuously offered in the past;
      • those looking for more local tournaments and/or league play with less travel; and
      • those looking for more focused skill development, with minimal travel.
      • These divisions also allow us to lessen the amount of athletes in each tryout session by allowing you to register for the highest level you are willing to play.  In turn, this will help in placing athletes to the team that best fits their skill level.

  • How it works:
    • When the 2022-2023 season registration opens, athletes will register for the highest division they are wanting to play. A $100 non-refundable deposit for winter and/or spring season is due at the time of registration.
      • For example, if you want to travel to competitive tournaments similar to what we have offered in the past, but do not want to travel as much or as far as the Open Division, you will select Regional Division as your choice. If you want to grow your skill level but cannot travel this season, you will select Club Division.
    • There will be NO waitlist!!! However, you must still register PRIOR to starting tryouts! Due to the change in format this season, we will be able to provide something for everyone! 
    • Tryouts: There will be 2 tryout dates for each traveling division (Open, Regional & Local). Athletes will attend the tryouts for the division selected during registration.
      • Tryouts will start with 2 days for the Open Division and any athlete who selected Open during registration. After Open tryouts and team selections are complete, if you make an Open team you will be finished with tryouts and continue with practices as scheduled. If you registered for Open and do not make an Open team, you will continue with tryouts and join the Regional Division tryouts. 
      • Tryouts will proceed with 2 days for the Regional/Local Division, including any athlete who selected Regional or Local during registration and those who did not make an Open team. If you make a Regional/Local team, you will be finished with tryouts and continue with practices as scheduled. If you registered for Open, Regional, or Local and do not make one of these teams, you will continue with practices with the Club Division.
      • Club Division will have no tryouts, as this is focused on skill-development at all skill levels and all athletes are welcome!

Season Information


By registering and paying the $100 deposit per season to Capital Volleyball Club, I agree to the following terms:

  • My $100 non-refundable deposit, is non-refundable and forfeited if I choose to leave the club at any time and for any reason. Unforeseen injuries will be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis.
  • The remainder of the season fee is due immediately following tryouts/team selections OR according to the payment plan.
    • Winter Payments:
      • Payment 1 of 3: due December 15th or the first week of tryouts
      • Payment 2 of 3: due January 15th
      • Payment 3 of 3: due February 15th
        • Payments must be made by due date in order to participate in the next scheduled tournament.
    • Spring Payments: 
      • Payment 1 of 3: due March 20th or the first week of tryouts
      • Payment 2 of 3: due April 10th
      • Payment 3 of 3: due May 1st
        • Payments must be made by due date in order to participate in the next scheduled tournament.
  • Once tryouts has begun, there will be NO refunds. By completing tryouts, I understand that I am taking a spot on a team and am obligated to pay the season fees for the team on which the athlete is placed.
  • I understand that there will be fundraising opportunities to help offset the registration fees. If my profits exceed my season fees, the excess goes back to the club. Fundraising information can be found at

  • Tentative tournament schedules will be available on the Tournaments tab. As tournaments are confirmed or changed, we will update this tab. Confirmed and accepted tournaments will become bold.
  • Check back frequently for updates! As we get information finalized it will be posted to the website & Facebook!
